Son Ye Jin has finally explained why husband Hyun Bin’s face is often covered with stickers whenever she shares family photos on social media.
On September 17, Son Ye Jin appeared in a Netflix Korea video alongside Ji Chang Wook and Nana, where she talked about her family, recent travels, and her approach to sharing her private life online.
When asked about a recent happy memory, Son Ye Jin chose her family trips, revealing that they had traveled together to places including Okinawa and the United States.
The conversation then turned to photos from those vacations. Fans had previously noticed that whenever Hyun Bin appeared in pictures shared by Son Ye Jin, his face was usually hidden behind a sticker.
Son Ye Jin revealed that the decision was actually Hyun Bin’s own request.
She explained that before uploading family photos, she asks her husband whether he is comfortable with them being shared.
According to Son Ye Jin, Hyun Bin told her, *“Please cover me.”*
She therefore began placing stickers over his face in the photos, simply respecting his preference about appearing on her social media.
Son Ye Jin also discussed how difficult it can be to casually share her everyday life online.
Besides her official account, she previously created another account to post more natural and ordinary moments. She explained that her official page mostly contained photos she felt were suitable to share with fans, while she wanted another space for less polished content.
*“When I post everyday things, they’re not always pretty. I wanted to share something more natural,”* she explained.
However, even posts from the casual account began receiving media attention.
Son Ye Jin admitted that this made her more careful about posting, saying, *“Even that became news, so things didn’t really go the way I expected. I want to post, but then I start wondering how people will react, so I hesitate.”*
Ji Chang Wook also joined the conversation and revealed that he once had a private social media account where he posted things such as cars and steering wheels for his own enjoyment. He jokingly admitted that sharing becomes less fun when nobody sees it, before revealing that he eventually deleted the account.
Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin married in 2022 and welcomed their son later that year. While Son Ye Jin occasionally shares glimpses of their family life online, she has now clarified that Hyun Bin’s sticker-covered appearances are simply the result of his request for more privacy.
