Son Ye Jin shared a funny glimpse into life at home with her nearly 4-year-old son, revealing that he has started giving his mother some surprisingly direct advice.
On September 17, Son Ye Jin appeared alongside Ji Chang Wook and Nana in a Netflix Korea video, where the three talked about their recent lives, work, and family.
Asked what she has been doing lately, Son Ye Jin said she has been focusing on raising her son while taking a break from filming.
After experiencing both acting and motherhood, she admitted that taking care of a child can be even more challenging than working on a production.
*“Raising a child is harder than working,”* she said.
Son Ye Jin then explained that her son, whom she shares with husband Hyun Bin, is now approaching 4 years old and has become much more talkative.
According to the actress, one expression he has recently started using caught her completely off guard.
*“These days, he tells me, ‘Mom, snap out of it,’”* Son Ye Jin revealed with laughter.
She explained that when she becomes tired from parenting and tells him, *“Woo Jin, Mom is going to lie down for a while,”* her son sometimes responds by telling her to *“snap out of it.”*
His unexpected reaction surprised Son Ye Jin so much that she immediately asked him where he had learned the phrase.
*“I was so surprised. I asked him, ‘Where did you learn to say that?’”* she recalled.
Son Ye Jin added that watching her son's vocabulary grow has become one of the most fascinating parts of motherhood. She said she finds it adorable to see children hear new expressions somewhere and then begin using them on their own.
The actress married Hyun Bin in 2022, and the couple welcomed their son later that year.
Although Son Ye Jin admitted that parenting can be more difficult than filming, her story about her son's playful reminder showed the lighter side of her everyday life as a mother.
