Jisoo says the Philippines feels like his ‘second home’ after two years of local activities

Actor Jisoo opened up about his growing connection to the Philippines, saying the country now feels like a second home after spending around two years working there.

Jisoo recently appeared on the popular Filipino talk show *KALURKS!*, where the hosts asked him about his experience in the country and his thoughts on dating.

When asked whether he finds Filipino women beautiful, Jisoo replied, *“Of course.”*

He was then asked whether he would be open to dating a Filipino woman.

*“I’m very open to it. I don’t look at nationality. Love can happen anywhere,”* Jisoo said.

The conversation became more playful when the hosts asked whether he would consider dating one of the women appearing on the show.

Jisoo responded, *“Of course. Why not? She’s very beautiful.”*

The actor also spoke about how comfortable he has become living and working in the Philippines.

When asked whether he now considers himself Filipino after spending considerable time in the country, Jisoo joked that his feelings have changed.

*“In my heart, I’ve become a little Filipino,”* he said. *“I’ve actually been working here for two years already. It feels like my second home.”*

Jisoo has recently been focusing on activities in the Philippines, including appearances at public events and promotional activities with local brands.

His overseas career followed a major controversy in South Korea in 2021. At the time, allegations about his behavior during his school years surfaced while he was starring in KBS2’s *River Where the Moon Rises*. Jisoo apologized and acknowledged some past wrongdoing, and he subsequently left the drama. Na In Woo replaced him, with portions of the series being filmed again.

The production company later pursued compensation from Jisoo’s former agency, KeyEast, over additional production costs. The legal dispute ultimately ended after KeyEast withdrew its Supreme Court appeal, leaving an appellate ruling in place that reduced the compensation amount from approximately 1.42 billion won to 880 million won.

Now increasingly active in the Philippines, Jisoo’s latest comments highlight how closely he has grown attached to the country, describing it as a place that has become another home for him.
