On September 16, IU uploaded photos to her personal social media account with the caption *“From This Star,”* showing off the shorter hairstyle that has recently become one of her most talked-about looks.
In the photos, IU poses naturally for the camera while highlighting her fresh bob haircut. The simple selfies quickly caught fans’ attention, especially after her hairstyle change became a hot topic following her recent music comeback.
IU introduced the new look around the release of her latest digital single *From This Star*, which arrived on September 10.
The single marks her first new music in about a year following *Bye, Summer*, released in September 2025. It also serves as a pre-release for her upcoming sixth full-length album.
*From This Star* includes two title tracks, *From This Star* and *Dear my crazy soulmate*, with IU personally writing the lyrics for both songs.
