T-ara’s Hyomin opened up about meeting her husband and revealed the surprisingly simple moment that made her realize she wanted to marry him.
On September 15, Hyomin appeared on Go So Young’s YouTube channel, where she shared details about her relationship with her husband, a finance professional who is 10 years older than her.
Hyomin recalled first meeting him at an acquaintance’s birthday gathering. Her future husband arrived late and happened to take an empty seat beside her.
*“He said, ‘I’m sorry I’m late,’ and I thought his voice sounded nice,”* Hyomin recalled. She added that she only briefly looked at him at first but already had a positive impression.
As they naturally started talking, Hyomin initially assumed he was only four or five years older than her. She later discovered that their actual age difference was 10 years.
When the conversation turned to marriage, Hyomin admitted that settling down had not originally been a major goal for her.
*“Honestly, I wasn’t really thinking about marriage,”* she said.
However, her perspective gradually changed after dating her husband. Around six months into their relationship, Hyomin recalled talking with a friend about the possibility that marriage might soon come up.
She then explained the moment she realized she did not want to lose the relationship.
*“I didn’t want to give him up to someone else, so I thought, ‘Ah, I guess I’m going to get married,’”* Hyomin shared.
Her candid confession revealed that rather than having a dramatic moment of realization, her decision to marry came naturally as her feelings for her husband grew stronger.
