BTS has successfully completed the North American leg of its BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’, attracting around 1.92 million fans across 31 sold-out concerts in 12 cities.
The group ended the North American tour with four concerts at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on September 1, 2, 5, and 6. The shows drew approximately 282,000 fans and helped BTS set new records at the venue.
Including their 2021 concerts, BTS has now performed at SoFi Stadium eight times, making them the group with the most concerts at the stadium. Their total attendance at the venue has reached about 496,000, reportedly making BTS the group to bring in the largest number of concertgoers since the stadium opened.
The Los Angeles shows also featured special celebrations for Jungkook and RM’s birthdays. During Body to Body, fans raised South Korean flags when the Korean folk song “Arirang” played in the track, creating one of the tour’s most memorable scenes.
At the end of the final concert, BTS told fans, “It feels like we only recently started in Tampa, but we are already saying goodbye at the final stop in Los Angeles. We will treasure every moment.” The members also expressed hope that they and their fans would remain connected wherever they are.
BTS’s return to the stage also received strong attention from international media. The Los Angeles Times described the group as a “world class pop act” and noted that although K-pop’s influence has continued to grow, BTS’s level of global impact has yet to be fully repeated.
Forbes highlighted how the concert excitement spread beyond the stadium, with fans from different cultural backgrounds singing along to Arirang and embracing Korean elements such as hanbok, traditional fans, and norigae accessories. Local businesses in Los Angeles also joined the celebrations with BTS themed promotions.
The city of Los Angeles officially declared September 1 to 8 as BTS Week. Other regions, including Toronto, Illinois, and El Paso County, also announced BTS themed celebrations around the group’s concerts.
BTS will continue the Arirang World Tour in South America, beginning in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2. The group will also perform in Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. The Colombia, Peru, and Argentina concerts will mark the group’s first full group visits to those countries.
