BTS member Jimin is gaining attention for his stage fashion after the Los Angeles Times highlighted his styling during the group’s recent concert at SoFi Stadium.

In its review of BTS’s September 2 Los Angeles show, the outlet pointed to Jimin as one of the night’s standout performers and took notice of his unconventional outfit.

Jimin appeared on stage with long blond hair, a mesh top, and a distinctive vest. The Los Angeles Times humorously described the piece as “what looked an awful lot like somebody’s grandpa’s fishing vest.”

Rather than treating the unusual styling negatively, the review used it while discussing how BTS members appear to have moved away from tightly coordinated stage outfits and toward more individual fashion choices.

The outlet suggested that after years of carefully planned group styling, the members now seem increasingly comfortable wearing clothes that reflect their own preferences on stage.

Jimin’s fashion has also drawn attention during other stops on BTS’s recent performances.

During the group’s London concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June, The Guardian gave the show a five star review and singled out Jimin, writing that by the end of the concert, *“I had acquired a bias too.”*

Billboard also highlighted Jimin’s hairstyle during the London performance, while fashion coverage of BTS’s Paris show praised the custom Dior outfit he wore as a house ambassador.

Earlier this year, Jimin also attracted attention during BTS’s Gwanghwamun comeback stage with a Songzio look inspired by the flowing lines of traditional Korean clothing and an armor concept.

The recent Los Angeles appearance adds another example of Jimin using unexpected fashion choices on stage, as BTS continues to show a more individual approach to performance styling during the group’s latest tour.
