Ahn Hyo Seop is preparing to return to television with JTBC’s upcoming drama The Final Table, about five months after his last project.
In a digital interview with Marie Claire Korea, released on September 5, the actor discussed his daily life, recent activities, and his new role as Kang Han, an internationally trained chef.
Ahn Hyo Seop described The Final Table as a warm and familiar story.
“It feels like freshly cooked rice and a warm meal prepared by my mother,” he said. “It may be a familiar taste, but it makes you think about the precious things within it once again.”
His description reflects the comforting and sincere qualities he connects with in the drama and his chef character. The series will follow Korean chefs from around the world as they take part in The Table: K Chef 2026, a competition to find the country’s top Korean chef.
The actor also shared how he maintains balance during his busy schedule. His routine includes cardio workouts, skin care, and eating boiled eggs when he feels hungry. He also recommended cold showers, saying, “They are difficult at first, but you feel very refreshed afterward.”
Ahn Hyo Seop said he finds small happiness in completing a well planned day, whether he is reading, exercising, meeting friends, cleaning, or buying fresh flowers.
He also expressed his desire to meet his fans, known as Poljjagi, again. “I often think about how I can meet them at the right time,” he said.
The Final Table is scheduled to premiere in October on JTBC and Disney+ in Korea, with Amazon Prime Video planned for international viewers. The drama also stars Hong Hwa Yeon, Jang Ryul, and Jung Yoo Jin.
