Super Junior’s Kyuhyun looked back on his younger idol days and jokingly admitted that he regrets spending so much of his free time playing with his members instead of exploring his dating life.

Kyuhyun appeared on episode 29 of the YouTube content Truman Show, uploaded on the channel Whenever I Open My Mouth on September 3.

During the casual conversation, comedian Lee Yong Jin brought up Kyuhyun’s appearance during Super Junior’s famous Sorry, Sorry era and asked how popular he was at the time.

Lee Yong Jin asked, “How popular were you back then? Did girl group members ever confess that they liked you?”

Kyuhyun explained that he had very little interaction with artists outside SM Entertainment at the time.

“No. Back then, we barely interacted with anyone except SM artists,” he said. “I sometimes heard indirectly that someone was interested in me, but they weren’t very direct about it, so nothing really happened.”

Lee Yong Jin jokingly told him that hearing those rumors was already a strong enough signal and said Kyuhyun should have reacted if he was also interested.

Looking back, Kyuhyun admitted there was one thing he regretted.

“What I really regret is that I was always just hanging out with the members in the waiting room and watching gaming videos,” he said.

When Lee Yong Jin joked that he would have dated a lot if he had been an idol during that era, Kyuhyun responded with his own playful confession.

“If I could go back to those days, I definitely wouldn’t leave myself alone,” he said, drawing laughter with his suggestion that he would be much more active about dating if given another chance.

The conversation later turned to Kyuhyun’s move from SM Entertainment to Antenna for his individual activities. When asked whether he would consider returning to SM, Kyuhyun joked that choosing between the two companies would only upset one side.

“If I pick one, the other side will definitely get upset. I’ll exercise my right to remain silent,” he said.

When asked again whether he would return to SM even if he received a good offer, Kyuhyun replied that the company already has many artists to take care of.

Kyuhyun currently manages his individual activities through Antenna while continuing his Super Junior group activities with SM Entertainment.

He has previously stressed that he remains committed to both, especially when promoting and touring as a member of Super Junior.
