Actor Kwak Si Yang and Lovelyz member Yoo Ji Ae are reportedly preparing to get married later this year.
According to a September 3 report by MyDaily, the couple is set to hold their wedding on November 28.
Sources familiar with the couple said Kwak Si Yang and Yoo Ji Ae naturally became close, developed romantic feelings, and eventually decided to marry. They have reportedly begun sharing the wedding news with people around them and are receiving congratulations.
The announcement came as a surprise to many because the two had not previously been publicly linked through dating reports.
One source said, “They are a beautiful couple. Please give them warm congratulations and support as they begin their future together.”
Kwak Si Yang made his acting debut in the 2014 film Night Flight and has since appeared in projects including The Witness, Oh My Ghost, Alice, Lovers of the Red Sky, Flex X Cop, and Good Partner. He is also set to appear in the upcoming KBS2 drama Dating Someone Other Than You.
Yoo Ji Ae debuted as a member of Lovelyz in 2013 and took part in popular songs including Candy Jelly Love, Hi~, Ah-Choo, and Destiny. After Lovelyz members’ contracts with their former agency ended in 2021, she continued her individual career and later moved into acting, including an appearance in the short-form drama Doctor K earlier this year.
Neither side was quoted in the report with a personal statement about the marriage, but the reported November 28 wedding is already drawing attention as another actor and idol couple prepares to begin a new chapter together.
