Jung Eun Chae is enjoying a strong wave of attention as her current SBS drama Flex X Cop 2 reaches new ratings highs while several of her past projects are also gaining renewed interest.
In Flex X Cop 2, Jung Eun Chae plays Joo Hye Ra, a former elite member of the National Police Agency’s counterterrorism team who now leads the Violent Crimes Unit 1 at Gangha Police Station.
Her character has drawn attention for her calm judgment, strong action scenes, and entertaining chemistry with Jin Yi Soo, played by Ahn Bo Hyun. As the drama’s main mystery develops, Joo Hye Ra has also become one of the key figures driving the investigation.
The drama’s ratings have continued to rise.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 8 of Flex X Cop 2 recorded a nationwide household rating of 7.9 percent and 8.0 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area. The episode also reached a peak rating of 9.3 percent, setting another personal best for the series.
The drama also posted a new high in the key 20 to 49 viewer demographic.
At the same time, Jung Eun Chae’s earlier works are seeing renewed interest through television broadcasts and streaming platforms.
Coupang Play series Anna, which recently received its first television broadcast through MBC, has been gaining attention again as ratings rise. Jung Eun Chae’s performance as Hyun Joo, a wealthy woman hiding emptiness behind her privileged life, has once again been discussed by viewers.
Her drama Your Honor is also experiencing a new wave of popularity after arriving on Netflix. The series reportedly reached No. 1 on the platform just six days after its release, bringing fresh attention to Jung Eun Chae’s role as prosecutor Kang So Young.
With Flex X Cop 2 climbing to new ratings highs and Anna and Your Honor finding new audiences, Jung Eun Chae is drawing attention for showing very different sides of herself across crime, thriller, and character-driven dramas.
