BTS’s Jungkook showed his massive global popularity once again as his birthday celebrations took over X trends around the world.
Jungkook celebrated his birthday on September 1, and shortly after midnight KST, his name and several birthday related phrases quickly climbed the worldwide trending rankings on X.
“Jungkook” reached No. 1 on the worldwide trends, while “#AlwaysByYourSideJK” ranked No. 2, “#HAPPYJKDAY” followed at No. 3, and “#YouAreThatSomebodyJK” reached No. 4. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JK” also entered the global top 10 at No. 8.
His birthday celebrations also dominated individual countries. “Jungkook” reportedly reached No. 1 in both the United States and the United Kingdom, while birthday related keywords and hashtags topped trends in countries including Brazil, Peru, and Indonesia.
In South Korea, fans also pushed Korean birthday hashtags to the top of the real time rankings.
Fans filled social media with supportive messages, including, *“I hope every moment Jungkook walks through is filled with happiness,”* “Jungkook, thank you for being born,” and “We’ll always support you by your side, JK.”
The celebrations were not limited to social media. Fans across South Korea, the United States, China, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Vietnam, and other countries organized birthday projects for the BTS member.
Projects included large digital billboards, subway and bus advertisements, LED trucks, special Jungkook buses, drone and fireworks displays, birthday cafés, charitable donations, and a large six meter CKJK Baby installation.
Jungkook also gave fans a special gift ahead of his birthday. On August 31, he shared a cover of Justin Bieber’s Lifetime through Weverse.
With his name reaching No. 1 worldwide and birthday projects appearing across numerous countries, Jungkook’s September 1 celebration once again highlighted the strong international support surrounding the BTS star.
