Los Angeles has officially declared September 1 through 8 as “BTS Week” as the city prepares to welcome BTS for their upcoming concerts at SoFi Stadium.

BTS is scheduled to perform BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LOS ANGELES on September 1, 2, 5, and 6. The Los Angeles shows will mark the final stop of the group’s North American tour.

To celebrate BTS’ return, Los Angeles City Hall will also be illuminated in red on September 1, reflecting the key color of the group’s fifth full-length album, ARIRANG. The lighting is intended as an official welcome to BTS and the fans visiting the city for the concerts.

An official proclamation ceremony was held at Los Angeles City Hall on August 31 with representatives from the city council, tourism officials, and BIGHIT MUSIC in attendance.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass highlighted BTS’ cultural impact, saying, “The declaration of ‘BTS Week’ reflects our belief in the power of arts and culture to increase mutual understanding and bring communities together.”

She added that the city is proud to recognize BTS’ achievements and celebrate the group’s connection with Los Angeles.

City Councilmember John Lee also said the proclamation recognizes BTS’ influence on global culture while celebrating the long-standing relationship between Los Angeles, Korea, and the Korean American community.

Los Angeles tourism officials similarly praised BTS for connecting people across different cultures and generations through music. The city council’s proclamation also noted the group’s contributions beyond entertainment, including their LOVE MYSELF campaign with UNICEF and their appearances at the United Nations.

The upcoming concerts will bring BTS back to SoFi Stadium for the first time in nearly five years. The group last performed at the venue for BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA in December 2021.
