BTS’s Jungkook is receiving large-scale birthday support from fans around the world ahead of his September 1 birthday, with billboard and LED projects planned across China, the United States, Asia, and Europe.
One of the biggest projects comes from Chinese fan club Jungkook China, which plans to display birthday advertisements on large LED screens across 11 Chinese cities on September 1. The locations include Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Changsha, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Tianjin, Taiyuan, Haikou, and Harbin.
Jungkook China is also taking the celebration to New York City. A birthday advertisement is scheduled to appear on the massive TSX Live billboard in Times Square 576 times throughout September 1.
In Los Angeles, overseas fanbase Jungkook CIS plans to operate an LED truck for eight hours near SoFi Stadium, where Jungkook is scheduled to perform. Additional advertisements are being displayed at bus stops near the stadium and on three large outdoor billboards in the Los Angeles area.
Several fanbases, including Golden JK Universe, Jungkook Supporters, and Jungkook China, are also preparing three LED trucks for September 1 and 2 around SoFi Stadium during BTS’s ARIRANG world tour concerts. The trucks are expected to travel through areas including Koreatown, Downtown Los Angeles, and Santa Monica.
Birthday projects are also appearing in South Korea. From August 31 through September 6, an outdoor screen at Shinsegae Gangnam Central in Seoul is scheduled to show Jungkook advertisements up to 120 times per day.
Fans in Japan have prepared another large celebration. Jungkook Japan reportedly organized a display involving 1,000 drones over Tokyo on August 30, while a fireworks event is planned for September 1. Birthday advertisements are also scheduled for Tokyo’s Shinjuku Yunika Vision.
Other projects are being held in Jakarta, Budapest, Bryansk, Astana, and Kolkata, showing the international scale of Jungkook’s birthday celebrations.
The global fan projects come as BTS continues its ARIRANG world tour, with upcoming concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
