Kim Soo Hyun’s agency has issued a warning after receiving reports of individuals or companies allegedly pretending to be authorized organizers of the actor’s overseas fan meetings.
On August 28, Gold Medalist said, “We have received reports of cases in which people impersonate official organizers or promoters related to Kim Soo Hyun’s overseas fan meetings and attempt to propose or arrange contracts.”
The agency stressed that no overseas fan meeting organizer has currently been officially confirmed or authorized.
“At present, there are no officially confirmed events or organizers, and we have not granted any company or individual the authority to organize a fan meeting or proceed with related contracts,” Gold Medalist stated.
The agency also warned businesses and other parties to be especially careful if someone claims that negotiations have already been completed and then requests money.
“Please exercise particular caution in cases where someone claims that discussions or agreements have been finalized and asks for contract payments, deposits, or guarantees,” the agency said.
The warning comes as Kim Soo Hyun gradually resumes public activities. The actor recently returned to promotional work, including a campaign for Philippine fashion brand Bench, and appeared as a special guest on Indonesian broadcaster RCTI’s 37th anniversary program.
Kim Soo Hyun had previously reduced his public activities amid controversy surrounding allegations about a past relationship. His agency denied key claims and pursued legal action over information it said was false or manipulated. Related disputes have since been handled through legal proceedings.
For now, Gold Medalist is asking fans, businesses, and potential partners to rely only on verified announcements and to avoid entering agreements or sending payments to anyone claiming to represent an overseas Kim Soo Hyun fan meeting without official authorization.
