Kim Soo Hyun is set to make a major public appearance in South Korea as a presenter at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards.
On August 28, the organizing committee officially announced, “Kim Soo Hyun will attend the 2026 The Fact Music Awards as a presenter on September 19 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.”
The appearance will mark another step in the actor’s return to public activities. Kim Soo Hyun recently resumed promotional work through a campaign with Philippine fashion brand Bench and also appeared on Indonesian broadcaster RCTI’s 37th anniversary program.
Kim Soo Hyun has built a long acting career through projects including Dream High, Moon Embracing the Sun, The Thieves, My Love from the Star, and Queen of Tears. His most recent hit, Queen of Tears, reached a peak nationwide rating of 24.9% and became tvN’s highest-rated Saturday-Sunday drama at the time.
The actor had kept a lower public profile following controversy in 2025 involving claims about a past relationship. His agency denied allegations that the relationship began when the other person was a minor and pursued legal action over what it described as false information. Related legal proceedings and disputes have continued.
More recently, a Seoul court dismissed a lawsuit filed by advertiser Mido seeking approximately 570 million won in returned endorsement fees from Kim Soo Hyun and his agency Gold Medalist. The ruling was one of the first decisions involving advertising disputes connected to the controversy.
With his appearance at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards now officially confirmed, attention is expected to turn to Kim Soo Hyun’s return to a major domestic entertainment event and his upcoming activities.
The 2026 The Fact Music Awards will be held on September 19 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
