JTBC has clarified Min Kyung Hoon’s status on Knowing Bros following reports suggesting that he was leaving the long-running variety show.
On August 28, JTBC addressed the reports and stated, “He is not leaving the show. He will take a break after this week’s broadcast.”
The clarification means Min Kyung Hoon is stepping away temporarily rather than officially ending his time as a cast member.
Min Kyung Hoon has been part of Knowing Bros since the JTBC program launched in December 2015, making him one of its original members. His upcoming break comes after nearly 11 years with the show.
Knowing Bros has recently gone through other cast changes as well. Kim Heechul has been taking time away due to health reasons, while Kim Shin Young joined the program earlier this year as its first female regular cast member.
For now, JTBC has emphasized that Min Kyung Hoon’s absence should be considered a hiatus, with no permanent departure announced.
Knowing Bros airs every Saturday at 9 p.m. KST on JTBC.
