BTS member Jungkook’s upcoming September 1 birthday is being celebrated with large-scale fan projects across South Korea, the United States, and Japan.

Several Jungkook fanbases, including Golden JK Universe, Jungkook Supporters, and Jungkook China, announced plans to operate three LED trucks around Los Angeles on September 1 and 2, when BTS is scheduled to hold its ARIRANG world tour concerts at SoFi Stadium.

The project will include one video truck and two image trucks. According to the organizers, the vehicles are also expected to travel through major Los Angeles areas including Koreatown, Downtown LA, and Santa Monica.

In Japan, fan club Jungkook Japan is preparing a birthday fireworks event near Kansui Park in Toyama Prefecture on September 1. Around 200 fireworks are planned during the roughly three-minute celebration, along with additional surprise displays.

Birthday advertisements for Jungkook are also scheduled to appear on major outdoor screens at Tombori Station in Osaka and Yunika Vision in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Sapporo TV Tower is also expected to light up in purple for the occasion.

Large-scale projects are taking place across Seoul as well.

From August 26 through September 1, birthday advertisements are being displayed at locations including Yongsan I'Park Mall, Seoul Station, Myeongdong, Hongdae, Yeouido, and Gangnam. Displays are also appearing across dozens of advertising panels along Myeongdong’s main streets.

Digital advertisements are additionally being placed at 24 subway stations across Seoul Subway Lines 2, 3, and 4, with 54 screens involved in the project.

Other birthday ads are scheduled near Konkuk University Station, Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 Station, and Hongik University Station, while an advertisement near HYBE’s headquarters is running for about a month.

A special KakaoTalk birthday banner is also scheduled to appear on September 1.

The wide range of projects shows the scale of fan-organized celebrations surrounding Jungkook’s birthday, with events stretching from Seoul’s subway stations and shopping districts to Los Angeles streets and a fireworks display in Japan.
