Seo Eun Soo has officially joined Kim Woo Bin in tvN’s upcoming drama Gift.

On August 26, Seo Eun Soo’s agency HighZium Studio confirmed her casting, stating, “Seo Eun Soo will play Yoon Seo Jin, a physical education teacher at Deokcheon High School and the head of its baseball club, in tvN’s new drama ‘Gift.’”

Scheduled to premiere later this year, Gift follows a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains a special ability after an unexpected accident.

He later becomes the coach of a struggling high school baseball team ranked at the bottom nationwide.

The drama is adapted from the popular Kakao Webtoon Gift, created by Jeong Iriiri.

Seo Eun Soo will play Yoon Seo Jin, a determined teacher who works hard to create a better environment where the students can enjoy playing baseball.

Her character is described as naturally principled, practical, and willing to take action when the baseball club needs support.

She will frequently clash with newly appointed coach Jung Min Yong, played by Kim Woo Bin. Despite their different approaches, both characters share the same goal of helping the baseball team, bringing a lively dynamic to the story.

Through Yoon Seo Jin, Seo Eun Soo is expected to show both the character’s strong sense of responsibility and her more relatable side when unexpected situations arise.

Before Gift, Seo Eun Soo is also set to return as Oh Ye Jin in Disney+’s Made in Korea Season 2, scheduled for release on September 9. She also has the film Rock among her upcoming projects.

With Seo Eun Soo and Kim Woo Bin now confirmed as part of the cast, Gift is drawing attention as a new webtoon-based sports drama set to arrive on tvN later this year.
