Kim Soo Hyun is drawing attention with his bright smile in newly released photos following his return to public activities.
On August 24, his agency Gold Medalist shared two photos of the actor on social media. In the images, Kim Soo Hyun is surrounded by flowers, balloons, and letters sent by fans.
He is seen holding a bouquet and making a V sign while smiling warmly for the camera. The photos quickly gained attention as they showed a relaxed and cheerful side of the actor after a long period away from major public appearances.
The update came one day after Kim Soo Hyun appeared as a special guest at Mahakarya RCTI 37, a live anniversary event held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on August 23.
During the event, he received a warm welcome from local fans and performed Dreaming, a song from the Dream High OST. The appearance marked one of his first major public schedules in about a year and five months.
Kim Soo Hyun had previously stepped back from activities amid a widely reported controversy involving claims about his past relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron. His side denied allegations that they dated while she was a minor and disputed evidence presented by those making the claims.
More recently, Seoul Seongdong Police decided not to forward cases accusing Kim Soo Hyun of violating the Child Welfare Act and making a false accusation, citing insufficient grounds for charges.
Separately, YouTube channel operator Kim Se Ui was indicted on multiple charges connected to the wider dispute. The legal proceedings involving other parties remain separate from Kim Soo Hyun's entertainment activities.
Following a commercial shoot in the Philippines and his appearance in Indonesia, Kim Soo Hyun is continuing his return to scheduled activities.
He is also set to meet fans in Manila on October 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for an event organized by Philippine lifestyle brand Bench, with the venue expected to accommodate around 20,000 attendees.
