Kim Jung Hyun has shared his thoughts after completing his first-ever musical, saying the experience made him look again at how he approaches acting.
On August 24, his agency Management SEESUN released his closing remarks for The Days, where he played Jung Hak, a strict and highly disciplined presidential security chief.
Kim Jung Hyun said, “As I finish my first musical challenge, I found myself looking back on the time I spent preparing for the production and standing on stage.”
He added, “Every time I went on stage, I was able to think again about the mindset I had when I first started acting and about the way I approach acting now.”
The actor admitted that taking on a musical for the first time came with unfamiliar and difficult moments, but said the experience also helped him grow.
He shared, “Because it was my first challenge, there were moments that felt unfamiliar and difficult, but it was also a meaningful time where I was able to learn and grow a lot.”
Kim Jung Hyun also thanked the cast, staff, and audiences who supported the production, saying their support helped him complete the run successfully.
Looking ahead, he said, “I will keep the experience and lessons I gained from this stage and carry them into my future acting. I hope to greet you again with an even more developed side of myself in dramas, films, and on stage.”
With The Days marking his first step into musical theater, Kim Jung Hyun said he plans to use what he learned from the experience as he continues his acting career.
