Actor Yoo Seung Ho is receiving attention for continuing his volunteer work for abandoned animals.

According to pet insurance company MyBrown on August 21, Yoo Seung Ho recently joined the company’s volunteer crew at Goyugeo Aniband, an abandoned animal shelter in Gyeonggi Province.

Yoo Seung Ho, who has previously spoken about his strong love for animals and even expressed interest in operating an animal shelter someday, took part in several activities during the visit. He helped clean the shelter, prepare food, care for the dogs’ eyes and ears, and walk large dogs.

Despite the hot weather and muddy conditions following heavy rain, Yoo Seung Ho reportedly continued taking the dogs out for walks several times.

He explained, “When I volunteer at shelters, I often feel sorry that there are not enough people, so the dogs cannot go on walks as much as they want. Even if it is physically difficult, I think walking even one more dog can still be helpful.”

The actor reportedly spent so much time walking and interacting with the dogs that his shirt became soaked with sweat.

After completing the volunteer work, Yoo Seung Ho also joined a photo session with dogs currently waiting for adoption in hopes of helping them receive more attention from potential families.

Speaking about the experience, Yoo Seung Ho said he found it meaningful that MyBrown was not only introducing people to pet insurance but was also directly participating in volunteer work for abandoned animals.

He also expressed hope that more people would become interested in animal shelters and take another look at the animals waiting there for new homes.

Meanwhile, Yoo Seung Ho is currently appearing in the SBS drama Flex X Cop 2 as Yoo Sung Won, a third-generation chaebol and internationally known sculptor.
