Girls’ Generation’s YoonA has raised excitement among fans after hinting that the group could reunite for a special 20th anniversary celebration.
On August 19, YoonA appeared on Kim Young Ok’s YouTube series Monthly Grandma’s House, where she spent time cooking and talking with the veteran actress.
During the episode, YoonA was congratulated on Girls’ Generation’s 19th debut anniversary. When the conversation turned to the group’s upcoming 20th anniversary, she gave fans a hopeful update.
YoonA said, “Shouldn’t we make a comeback? I think we should do something for the 20th anniversary, so maybe we should all get together.”
Her comment immediately drew attention because Girls’ Generation’s 20th anniversary will mark a major milestone for the group. However, YoonA did not confirm specific comeback plans, a release date, or a full-group project, so her remarks are best understood as a positive hint rather than an official announcement.
Elsewhere in the episode, YoonA and Kim Young Ok showed their close relationship while preparing a meal together. YoonA shared that working on Bon Appétit, Your Majesty helped her become more comfortable with cooking.
Kim Young Ok also gave YoonA a handwritten message filled with affection, writing, “Our beautiful YoonA. I always hope you have many happy days in your life. Let’s meet again on a good day. My number one granddaughter, my number one bride candidate.”
YoonA responded by expressing gratitude for Kim Young Ok’s continued support, saying, “You always say such kind things about me on broadcasts and elsewhere, so I wanted to express how I felt. I’m really happy we were able to meet like this.”
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, YoonA’s comment about gathering the members for Girls’ Generation’s 20th anniversary has already given fans a new reason to look forward to the group’s milestone year.
