BTS member Jimin is drawing attention for his ability to turn casual viewers and even former skeptics into fans after they experience the group’s performances in person.
Recent articles from The Guardian and Vogue Korea highlighted writers who said their views on BTS changed after attending a concert, with both pointing to Jimin as the member who especially caught their attention.
In a review of BTS’s London concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a Guardian writer reportedly explained that they had not been particularly interested in BTS before the show.
By the end of the concert, however, the writer said they had been won over by the group’s music, performances, and individual charms, ultimately naming Jimin as their favorite member.
Vogue Korea also shared a similar experience in an article about a writer who had previously been skeptical about BTS and K-pop. After seeing the group perform, the writer began searching for more BTS content and admitted, “I especially fell completely for Jimin.”
Jimin’s appeal has also been mentioned by Korean celebrities. On TV Chosun’s Perfect Life, actress Jang Ga Hyun was shown watching several Jimin videos shortly after waking up and pressing “like” on them. She reportedly became interested in Jimin after watching BTS’s Gwanghwamun comeback performance.
The reactions have once again highlighted Jimin’s strong stage presence and his ability to attract new fans beyond BTS’s existing fandom.
Meanwhile, BTS is scheduled to continue its tour with performances at Rogers Stadium in Canada on August 22 and 23.
