BLACKPINK member Jisoo has shared a heartfelt tribute to Mathilde Favier, a longtime Dior executive with whom she developed a close relationship through years of working together.
On August 18, Jisoo posted a message remembering Favier and the many moments they shared through Dior.
She wrote, “Dear Mathilde, it is difficult to find the words to say goodbye to you.”
Jisoo recalled how warmly Favier treated her from the beginning of her journey with the fashion house.
She continued, “From my first journey with Dior, you treated me with so much warmth and kindness. Over the years, we shared so many special moments. I will always be grateful for the care, love, and support you showed me.”
Jisoo also reflected on their memories together in Paris and said the unexpected farewell was especially difficult because she had been looking forward to seeing Favier again.
She wrote, “I will always treasure all the precious memories we shared in Paris. I was looking forward to seeing you again in Paris and celebrating together, which makes this goodbye feel even harder.”
She concluded, “Rest in peace. I will never forget you.”
According to reports from French media, Mathilde Favier passed away following a traffic accident in western France on August 17. She was 57 years old. Her husband, film producer Nicolas Altmayer, was also reported to have died in the accident.
Favier had worked closely with Jisoo during numerous Dior events and appearances over the years. Because of the warm support she often showed Jisoo during her activities in France, some fans affectionately referred to her as Jisoo’s “Paris mom.”
Jisoo’s tribute highlighted the personal bond they had built beyond their professional relationship and the memories she said she would continue to cherish.
