BLACKPINK’s Jennie is officially preparing to return with new solo music later this month.
On August 19, OA Entertainment, also known as ODDATELIER, confirmed that Jennie is currently working toward the release of a new EP at the end of August.
According to the agency, Jennie is in the final stages of comeback preparations, raising anticipation after she previewed several unreleased tracks during her recent festival appearances.
Earlier this year, Jennie performed as a headliner at several major international music festivals, including The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Open'er Festival in Poland, 2026 MAD COOL FESTIVAL in Spain, and SUMMER SONIC 2026 in Japan.
During some of these performances, Jennie gave fans early previews of new songs such as FALLEN ANGEL and lockitdown, building curiosity about the direction of her upcoming EP.
She also previously introduced Less than a Lover, which later gained attention on music charts. The track reportedly earned Gold certification on QQ Music and became the only female solo single released this year to reach that certification on the platform.
Less than a Lover also claimed first place on Mnet’s M Countdown for two consecutive weeks, further highlighting Jennie’s continued popularity as a solo artist.
With several unreleased tracks already receiving attention from fans, Jennie’s upcoming late-August EP is expected to reveal more of the music she has been previewing throughout her recent global festival run.
