BTS’s V is gaining attention after Vogue US highlighted his distinctive vocals while naming BTS’s ARIRANG among its standout albums of 2026.
In its assessment of the album, Vogue US specifically pointed to V’s part in the track NORMAL, making his vocal delivery one of the individual moments highlighted from the project.
The publication praised BTS for taking a different direction with their first group comeback following their military service. Rather than simply returning to the radio-friendly sound behind some of their biggest global hits, the review noted that the group revisited its earlier rap and hip-hop influences while combining them with the musical experience gained throughout their career.
V’s voice became a particular focus when Vogue US discussed the memorable elements of ARIRANG. Referring to his line in NORMAL, the publication highlighted the moment when he sings, “Got me feelin’ things unusual,” describing the delivery as something that strongly stays with the listener.
The recognition adds to recent attention surrounding V’s vocal tone and range.
The New York Times was also cited as previously describing V’s vocals on ARIRANG as especially passionate and powerful among the group’s vocalists.
Broadway star Lea Salonga has likewise praised V’s voice in a recent interview, according to the report. When discussing BTS members’ vocals, she reportedly chose V as the member with the most captivating vocal ability.
She explained, “V has a warm tone that goes beyond technique.” She also pointed to his ability to handle higher notes despite his naturally lower vocal range, adding that hearing a baritone perform parts commonly associated with a tenor can create an unexpected and interesting effect.
While vocal preferences remain subjective, the latest comments have once again placed attention on V’s recognizable baritone tone and the way his voice is used throughout BTS’s ARIRANG album.
