Actor Jeon Wook Min, the younger brother of actress Jeon So Min, has opened up about his current life and the challenges he has faced while pursuing his own career.
On August 11, Jeon Wook Min shared a video on his personal social media account with the message, “Running again today.”
In the video, he spoke openly about having a famous older sister and how her career initially made acting feel more achievable to him.
He said, “My older sister is a famous actress. Thanks to her, I also appeared on television several times. That made me dream of becoming an actor too. When you see it up close, it feels like something within reach.”
However, Jeon Wook Min admitted that reality turned out to be more difficult than he expected.
He shared, “I thought I would succeed too, but the wall of reality was much higher and thicker than I imagined.”
The actor then revealed that he is now 38 years old and currently works in delivery jobs while continuing to pursue what he wants to do.
Jeon Wook Min said, “I’m 38 now, almost 40. I don’t have an impressive career or a lot of money saved.”
He also addressed assumptions that he is financially comfortable because Jeon So Min is a successful celebrity.
He explained, “People around me think I have a lot of money because my sister is a celebrity. But that money has nothing to do with me. It’s all my sister’s money because she earned it.”
Jeon Wook Min went on to say that he is currently doing delivery work to support himself while continuing to chase his goals.
He admitted, “I’m doing deliveries so I can keep doing what I want. Sometimes I feel embarrassed. At my age, it can be difficult to tell people that I work in delivery.”
Despite those feelings, he said he has no plans to give up.
Jeon Wook Min concluded, “People around me say it’s too late, but there’s also a saying that when you think it’s late, that’s actually the earliest time. I believe in those words, so I’m running again today.”
His candid message drew attention for showing the reality behind pursuing a dream later in life while making it clear that he wants to build his own path independently of his sister’s success.
