BTS’s V has been selected as the new global ambassador for American sportswear brand Champion, adding another major global fashion partnership to his career.
On August 10, Champion USA announced that V will represent the brand globally and take part in its new fall campaign, True Champion.
According to fashion industry outlet WWD, V was chosen as a figure whose influence extends across music, fashion, and art. The publication also pointed to his strong global popularity, noting the attention generated after Authentic Brands Group founder and chairman Jamie Salter shared a photo taken with V at the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium.
Stephanie Fleury, an executive vice president at Authentic Brands Group, explained that V’s creative perspective, international reach, and connection with fans were among the reasons behind the partnership.
New campaign photos released by Champion show V wearing several of the brand’s signature pieces, including logo knitwear, hoodies, and sweatpants. Other images capture the BTS member playing a trumpet and listening to music through earphones, highlighting a relaxed and artistic concept.
Champion was founded in the United States in 1919 and has grown into one of the country’s recognizable sportswear labels. The brand was acquired by Authentic Brands Group in 2024.
With V joining Champion as its global ambassador, attention is now focused on how the BTS member will bring his own style and creative image to the brand’s upcoming global campaigns.
