BTS member Jungkook is set to receive a large scale birthday celebration in the heart of New York City as fans prepare a special Times Square billboard project for September 1.
Jungkook’s Chinese fan club, Jungkook China, announced that a birthday video for the BTS member will be displayed on the massive TSX Live billboard in Manhattan’s Times Square.
The video will feature messages including “Born to Be Legend Happy JK Day” and “Happy Birthday Jungkook.”
What is drawing particular attention is the scale of the project. According to the fan club, Jungkook’s birthday video is scheduled to appear 576 times throughout the day, giving visitors in Times Square repeated chances to see the celebration.
The location also carries special meaning for Jungkook and his fans. TSX Entertainment previously served as the venue for one of Jungkook’s solo performances in New York, making the billboard project a meaningful return to a place connected to his solo career.
Fans reacted enthusiastically to the announcement, with comments including, *“The scale of the birthday gift is amazing, especially at such a meaningful place,”* “I love that they chose somewhere special to Jungkook,” and “576 times is incredible.”
