TWICE member Jeongyeon has shared a heartfelt message about leaving JYP Entertainment after 11 years and beginning a new chapter in her career.

On August 10, Jeongyeon posted a handwritten letter explaining that she has decided to move to a new agency after spending much of her life with JYP Entertainment.

She wrote, “From my teenage years until now, I spent a very long time with JYP. I am now leaving and preparing to make another new start somewhere else.”

Jeongyeon admitted that stepping away from such a familiar environment was not an easy decision, but said the support of her fellow TWICE members and fans gave her confidence.

She shared, “I was afraid to leave a place that had become so familiar, but I was able to find courage because of the members who believed in me and ONCE.”

The singer also expressed gratitude to the people who supported her throughout her career, adding, “I am thankful beyond words to our members, ONCE, and the JYP family who helped me grow.”

Most importantly, Jeongyeon reassured fans that leaving JYP Entertainment does not mean she is stepping away from TWICE.

She emphasized, “Although I am moving to a new home and beginning a new challenge, TWICE remains the biggest center of my life. Standing in front of ONCE as a TWICE member will always come first.”

Jeongyeon added that she plans to carefully balance her identity as a TWICE member with the new challenges she hopes to take on as Yoo Jeongyeon.

She wrote, “I will continue taking each step sincerely, both as TWICE’s Jeongyeon whom you have loved and as Yoo Jeongyeon taking on new challenges.”
