KBS2 drama The Husband has reached another ratings milestone as its story heads into the final episode.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 11 of The Husband, which aired on August 8, recorded a nationwide household rating of 7.5%. This marked a new personal best for the drama and was 0.3 percentage points higher than the previous episode’s 7.2%.

The latest episode followed Kang Tae Joo, played by Namgoong Min, as he continued trying to uncover the truth behind the people working against him.

Without revealing too many spoilers, Tae Joo became increasingly convinced that Choi Chi Woong, played by Woo Ji Hyun, had been manipulating several people around him.

He then attempted to turn the situation around by making an unexpected offer to Noh Man Hee, played by Kim Dae Myung.

During their confrontation, Tae Joo told him, “You didn’t want to break the deal because they promised to operate on your wife in exchange for killing me.”

He then offered another option, saying, “I’ll perform the surgery,” while asking Man Hee to reveal the truth and turn himself in.

However, the episode ended with another unexpected development. After being called to a meeting, Tae Joo discovered that the situation was not what he expected.

Man Hee said, “Keep your promise. I’ll do what you told me to do,” while Choi Chi Woong appeared and replied, “Don’t worry.”

The tense ending left Tae Joo in another dangerous situation and set the stage for the drama’s final confrontation.

With episode 11 reaching a new series high of 7.5%, attention is now focused on whether The Husband can finish its run with another ratings increase when its finale airs on August 9.
