KARA member and actress Han Seung Yeon recently drew concern after fans noticed her hands shaking during a visit to a birthday café, but her agency has now explained the reason behind the symptoms.
On August 9, a representative from Han Seung Yeon’s agency, AER Entertainment, said that the singer and actress has been dealing with a cervical disc condition.
The agency explained, “Han Seung Yeon had been experiencing symptoms from a neck disc condition, and recently the symptoms became worse, which caused the shaking in her hands.”
The representative added, “She is continuing to receive treatment, and there are no other health problems.”
Concern began after a recent video from a birthday café prepared by fans circulated online. In the clip, Han Seung Yeon could be seen holding and playing with a small toy while her hand appeared to shake noticeably.
Some viewers also felt that she looked more tired than usual, leading fans to leave supportive messages such as, “Please don’t push yourself too hard and take care of your health,” and “I hope you recover well.”
Before her agency provided an explanation, some online users had suggested different possible causes for the shaking. However, those comments were only speculation.
Han Seung Yeon is currently receiving treatment for the neck disc symptoms, while her agency has reassured fans that she is not experiencing any additional health concerns.
Han Seung Yeon debuted as a member of KARA in 2007 and has also built a career as an actress through projects including Jang Bo Ri Is Here!, Age of Youth, Twelve Nights, and The Scandal of Chunhwa.
