KBS2 weekend drama Love on the Menu has reached another personal best as its ratings continue to rise.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 5 of Love on the Menu, which aired on August 8, recorded a nationwide household rating of 14.1%. The figure marks the drama’s highest rating since its premiere.
The latest episode focused on Kim Moo Jin, played by Ha Seok Jin, becoming increasingly confused after reuniting with Han Gyu Rim, played by Hani, for the first time in eight years.
Without revealing too many details, Moo Jin begins questioning Gyu Rim’s family situation after meeting her son Han Gyeol. As he thinks back on their past relationship, his suspicions continue to grow.
The episode eventually delivered a direct question from Moo Jin as he asked Gyu Rim, “Is Gyeol possibly my son?”
Viewers reacted strongly to the drama’s fast-moving story. Comments included, “The story is moving so fast,” “That direct question at the end was satisfying,” and “It was cute that Han Gyeol has the same food preferences.”
With its nationwide rating climbing to 14.1%, Love on the Menu has once again set a new personal record and is drawing attention for whether its upward ratings trend will continue.
