Actress Goo Hye Sun is drawing attention after bringing back a look that reminded fans of her famous Boys Over Flowers character while promoting a product she developed herself.
Goo Hye Sun recently shared a video from her appearance on Home & Shopping along with the playful caption, “Forty-three. Currently cosplaying as Geum Jan Di.”
In the broadcast, she appeared in a brown school uniform-style jacket, tie, and pigtails while introducing her own hair roller product.
The styling quickly reminded viewers of Geum Jan Di, the character Goo Hye Sun played in the hit 2009 KBS2 drama Boys Over Flowers. Nearly 17 years later, the actress recreated a similar school look while appearing as the head of her own venture business.
Goo Hye Sun had previously launched the hair roller through its first TV home shopping broadcast. The following day, she shared another update and announced, “We have surpassed 30,000 units.”
According to the product’s official website, one unit is currently listed at 13,000 won. At that listed price, 30,000 units would represent around 390 million won in gross product value, although actual sales revenue may differ depending on discounts, packages, and other sales conditions.
The product had previously drawn some discussion over its price when it first launched, but the latest sales milestone has brought renewed attention to Goo Hye Sun’s activities as an entrepreneur.
Outside of entertainment and business, Goo Hye Sun has also continued her studies. She graduated from Sungkyunkwan University’s Department of Film in February 2024 and later entered the master’s program in science journalism at KAIST.
