BTS’s V reveals he was the one who suggested changing the group’s ‘Today’s BTS’ photos after finding the old style too boring

BTS’s V revealed that he was behind the recent changes to the group’s official “#Today’s BTS” photos, explaining that he wanted the pictures to feel more creative and fun.

During a Weverse Live broadcast on August 7, V responded to a fan who praised the latest group photos. Recent “#Today’s BTS” posts have caught attention for moving away from the usual format of the members simply standing in a straight line.

V admitted that the new direction began with a suggestion he made to the staff.

He said, “This might sound like I’m praising myself, but we have people at the company who are really good at taking photos. I thought having us just stand in one line for ‘Today’s BTS’ was too boring.”

V explained that he encouraged the team to experiment with different arrangements instead of repeating the same composition.

He continued, “I said it was too plain and boring, so I suggested that we plan different camera compositions every time instead of standing in a straight line. I gave them a few ideas so we could make it more fun.”

One of his early ideas was inspired by a popular style that resembles a comic book cover.

V explained, “One of the simplest ideas I had was a meme where people take photos like a comic book cover, so I thought we could try something like that.”

He added that fans can expect more creative group photos in the future, especially with BTS having more tour activities ahead.

V said, “From now on, ‘Today’s BTS’ won’t just be stiff or boring. We’re going to think of fun concepts and take the photos in more interesting ways, especially since we have a lot of touring ahead.”

During the broadcast, V also thanked fans for respecting his earlier request not to gather outside the members’ hotels. He shared that many fans now quietly give them space even when unexpectedly seeing them in public.

V said, “After I asked people not to come to the hotel, about 90 out of 100 fans would pretend not to notice us even if they saw us on the street, so we could have a small memory without causing a scene.”

He added with a laugh that some fans even close their eyes when they recognize BTS members, which sometimes leads the members themselves to greet them first with a friendly “Hi.”
