Jung Woo Sung is returning with a sharper and more intense appearance in Disney+’s upcoming noir drama Made in Korea Season 2.
The series has released new character stills of Jung Woo Sung as Jang Geon Young, who returns nine years later as a special adviser to the Joint Investigation Headquarters.
Made in Korea Season 2 follows Baek Ki Tae, played by Hyun Bin, as his growing ambition leads him down an increasingly dangerous path. Jang Geon Young, who previously fought against him with relentless determination, is now preparing a major counterattack.
In the first season, Jang Geon Young lost his position as a prosecutor after being defeated by Baek Ki Tae. The new stills show that the years have changed him significantly.
With a thicker beard, deeper gaze, and colder expression, Jung Woo Sung presents a character who appears to have spent nine years carefully preparing his revenge.
One image shows him seated behind a nameplate reading “Special Adviser Jang Geon Young,” suggesting that he has returned with new authority and a more calculated approach.
His intense expression also raises questions about what he has planned and how he intends to bring Baek Ki Tae down.
Jung Woo Sung has previously appeared in projects including 12.12: The Day, Asura: The City of Madness, The King, Steel Rain, Innocent Witness, Hunt, A Man of Reason, and Tell Me That You Love Me.
Attention is now focused on the renewed conflict between Jang Geon Young and Baek Ki Tae as their dangerous battle continues after nine years.
Made in Korea Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on September 9, 2026.
