So Ji Sub has raised expectations for a possible second season of Agent Kim Reactivated after sharing new photos from the drama’s filming set.
On August 2, the actor posted several images on his personal social media account with the message, “I will be back.”
In the photos, So Ji Sub wears a black suit and glasses while holding a gun. Makeup showing cuts and blood on his face, along with his serious expression, reminded viewers of his character in the recently completed action drama.
Another photo shows him sitting in a navy suit while making a V sign with two fingers. The pose led some fans to wonder whether he was quietly hinting at season 2.
However, a second season has not been officially confirmed. The photos may simply be behind-the-scenes content, although So Ji Sub’s message has renewed interest in the drama’s possible return.
Yoon Kyung Ho, who played Park Jin Cheol, previously expressed his strong interest in continuing the story.
He said, “I have a huge desire for season 2. So Ji Sub also said, ‘We should do season 2.’”
Yoon Kyung Ho added, “It is difficult to let go of the world of Manager Kim, Park Jin Cheol, and Sung Han Soo. I keep asking for season 2 because I believe something may happen if we continue talking about it.”
He continued, “If we can return for season 2, I want to start preparing now so we can show viewers something even better.”
Agent Kim Reactivated began with a nationwide rating of 9.5 percent, passed 20 percent after only three episodes, and reached its highest rating of 23.1 percent with episode 8.
With strong ratings and continued interest from the cast and viewers, attention is now focused on whether So Ji Sub’s “I’ll be back” message will eventually lead to the official return of Agent Kim Reactivated.
