Former South Korean national football player Kim Young Kwang shared a memorable story about meeting BTS member V, praising both his appearance and polite attitude.
During an episode of the YouTube channel I Am Kim Young Kwang, Kim Young Kwang watched the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina with former football player Kim Geun Hwan and sports caster So Jun Il.
While discussing BTS’s performance of Dynamite during the World Cup final halftime show, Kim Geun Hwan expressed his admiration for V.
He said, “Wow, V is really handsome.”
Kim Young Kwang agreed and revealed that V looked even more impressive in person.
He recalled, “When you see him in real life, he is unbelievably handsome. The CEO of a fitness gym where I work out introduced us, and V came over to greet me.”
Kim Young Kwang continued, “Someone that famous came to me and said, ‘Hello, Young Kwang hyung.’ He really greeted me like that.”
Kim Geun Hwan jokingly responded, “You should have asked for his contact information right away. You should have given him your number.”
Kim Young Kwang then replied, “We should play football together later.”
The casual story gained attention because V reportedly approached Kim Young Kwang first and addressed the former goalkeeper respectfully despite his global popularity.
