OH MY GIRL member Mimi is preparing to take a new step in her career by officially debuting as a solo artist.
On August 1, RBW, DSP Media, and WM Entertainment announced that Mimi will release her first solo single on August 20.
The agencies stated, “Mimi will make her official solo debut with her first single on August 20. She actively participated in the entire production process and will show an artistic side that she has not revealed before. We ask for your interest and support.”
The release comes around 11 years after Mimi debuted as a member of OH MY GIRL in 2015.
As the group’s main rapper, Mimi has built a strong identity through her husky voice, distinctive rap style, powerful performances, and confident stage presence. She has also gained attention as an all-around entertainer with a wide range of talents.
Mimi took part in writing lyrics, composing, and producing her upcoming single, allowing her to express her personal musical style and identity more clearly.
