Kim Go Eun received the first acting grand prize of her 14-year career at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards.

The ceremony was held on July 31 at Paradise City in Incheon, with Jun Hyun Moo and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA serving as hosts.

Kim Go Eun earned the grand prize for her performance in You and Everything Else. She became emotional as soon as she stepped onto the stage, marking a meaningful moment after years of taking on challenging roles across films and television series.

During her speech, Kim Go Eun credited the senior actors who supported her throughout her career.

She said, “I believe I was able to reach this place because of many senior actors. I hope that one day, I can become that kind of senior to others.”

She also thanked the production teams she has worked with and emphasized that she has never taken any acting opportunity for granted.

Kim Go Eun added, “I have never once thought that being part of a project was something natural or guaranteed.” She promised to continue working hard and approaching every new role with gratitude.

The actress remained active throughout the year with several major projects, including The Price of Confession, You and Everything Else, and Yumi’s Cells Season 3.

Earlier in the ceremony, Kim Jae Won, her co-star in Yumi’s Cells Season 3, thanked her during his acceptance speech and said, “Thank you to our very beautiful and adorable Go Eun noona.” Kim Go Eun responded with a warm smile and supportive gesture.

Other major winners included Park Hae Soo, who received Best Actor for the mystery series Scarecrow. He thanked fellow actor Lee Hee Joon and also shared that he and his wife are expecting their second son in August.

Shin Hye Sun won Best Actress for her performance in Lady Dua. She calmly expressed her gratitude to the production team and her family.

Veteran actor Yoon Kyung Ho became emotional after winning Best Supporting Actor. Despite working in the industry for 28 years, he tearfully said, “I only want us to continue working together for a long time. I know that is not an easy thing.”

The top program awards went to the dating variety show Better Late Than Single and the drama Becoming a Legendary Army Cook.

The ceremony also featured performances by Kim Min Ha, Choi Ye Na, Lee Eun Ji, and Tiger JK.
