KATSEYE has been named to Billboard’s annual 21 Under 21 list for the second consecutive year, recognizing the group as one of the music industry’s most influential and innovative artists under the age of 21.
The HYBE and Geffen Records global girl group earned another place on the list following a year of strong chart results, major festival appearances, award nominations, and growing international demand.
Billboard’s 21 Under 21 list considers album and song sales, streaming numbers, social media reach, radio and television exposure, industry influence, and overall growth.
Billboard described the past year as KATSEYE’s most successful period since debut, noting the group’s performances at major music festivals and its two Grammy Award nominations.
KATSEYE’s second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 after its release in June 2025. The album has remained on the chart for 56 consecutive weeks.
The group also placed four songs on the Billboard Hot 100: Gnarly, Gabriela, Internet Girl, and PINKY UP.
KATSEYE’s latest song, Animal, set new personal records for the group. It debuted at No. 9 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart and No. 8 on the platform’s United States ranking.
The track also reached No. 16 on the UK Official Singles Chart, continuing the group’s strong international chart performance.
KATSEYE received nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards. The group later won three awards at the 2026 American Music Awards: New Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Pop Artist, and Best Music Video.
The members have also performed at major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and The Governors Ball, receiving attention for their live performances and choreography.
Demand for their upcoming THE WILDWORLD TOUR has also been high. All 27 original shows across 10 countries in North America and Europe sold out quickly, leading organizers to add four more dates.
In an interview with Billboard, the members said they want to remain focused on their identity despite their fast growth.
They shared, “We want to stay true to what we love even when things move really fast.”
The members also spoke about the determination required to succeed, saying, “You cannot succeed if you do not truly want this with everything in you.”
KATSEYE will release its third EP, WILD, on August 14. Before the album’s release, the documentary film KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, which follows the group’s growth and connection with fans, will open in theaters worldwide on August 12.
