JTBC’s weekend drama The Apartment Job is gaining attention after rising to a 6 percent rating and taking first place in its time slot across all television channels, including major terrestrial networks.

Episode 6, which aired on July 26, reportedly reached the top of its time slot. The drama has continued to build momentum through its fast-paced story, detailed writing, and strong performances from its cast.

The Apartment Job is also performing well on streaming and popularity rankings. After its first two episodes were released, the series ranked No. 1 on Netflix Korea’s Top 10 Series list. It later placed No. 4 on Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex TV-OTT popularity ranking.

The drama follows Park Hae Kang, played by Ji Sung, a former gang leader who now lives as an The Apartment Job resident. He enters the election for residents’ association president and works with his neighbors to uncover problems inside their community.

Ji Sung has received positive responses for leading the story, while Baek Hyun Jin has drawn attention for his intense performance as former residents’ association president Seo Kang Won. Park Byung Eun also adds tension to the drama as powerful businessman Lee Chung Won.

The upcoming episode will focus on a tense private meeting between Park Hae Kang and Lee Chung Won. The two characters will carefully test each other’s intentions as they consider whether to form a risky partnership. The preview avoids revealing whether either man can be trusted.

The production team also shared that Ji Sung and Park Byung Eun showed strong teamwork during filming. While their characters exchanged cold looks on camera, the actors reportedly maintained a warm and supportive atmosphere between scenes.
