Gong Hyo Jin shared her honest first impression of Jung Joon Won and explained how his reserved personality differs from Go Kyung Pyo’s more affectionate style.

On July 30, Gong Hyo Jin uploaded a new video titled Tofu noodle lover Gong Hyo Jin and tofu faced Jung Joon Won on her YouTube channel Gong Hyo Jin for the time being.

Gong Hyo Jin and Jung Joon Won will play a married couple in MBC’s upcoming Friday Saturday drama A Bona Fide Killer. During the casual video, she invited him to her home and prepared a meal for him.

While talking about their eight year age difference, Gong Hyo Jin said: “Joon Won and I are eight years apart.”

Jung Joon Won replied: “You were already a famous actress before I even started acting.”

Gong Hyo Jin explained that she had expected him to feel uncomfortable around her because she was his senior, but she soon realized that he had a calm and mature personality.

She said: “I forgot that he might find me difficult to approach. He is not the type to constantly say, ‘Senior.’ He has a very calm and polite style.”

She then compared him with Go Kyung Pyo, whom she described as someone who naturally shows more affection.

Gong Hyo Jin said: “There are also people who act like babies. Go Kyung Pyo grew up with an older sister, so he is very much an ‘egen man.’ He is full of cute and affectionate behavior.”

The term “egen man” is commonly used in Korea to describe a man with a softer and more emotionally expressive personality, while “teto man” refers to someone with a stronger, more traditionally masculine image.

Jung Joon Won responded: “I envy people with that kind of personality. I cannot act that way.”

Gong Hyo Jin also recalled filming their first scene together at a house. Because Jung Joon Won’s character is supposed to be affectionate, he had to use sweet expressions when speaking to his on screen family.

She said: “He had to say things like, ‘Our treasure,’ ‘Our daughter,’ and ‘Honey’ in a cute voice. However, Joon Won was such a ‘teto man.’”

Jung Joon Won admitted that showing affection did not come naturally to him.

He said: “Every time I did it, I thought I was giving 100 percent, but she seemed to think I was not even reaching 15 percent.”
