Fans of BTS member V are drawing attention for making donations to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund across several regions, including Asia, Europe, Africa, and North and South America.
The donations were made separately from fan participation in a charity auction featuring a scarf connected to V’s World Cup halftime performance.
FIFA and nonprofit organization Global Citizen jointly established the fund to help provide education and football opportunities for children in underserved communities worldwide. The project aims to raise 100 million dollars.
Global Citizen and British auction house Christie’s also organized the ONE GOAL charity auction to support the fund ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Items connected to the World Cup halftime stage were reportedly included in the auction.
Fans said V’s kindness and generosity inspired them to support the campaign.
They shared: “V’s kindness, warmth, humility, and generosity inspire many people and help us believe that the world can become a little better.”
A fan from the United States known as Taeby explained that participating in the auction still helped the cause even without winning the scarf.
The fan wrote: “The best part of the auction was that every bid helped raise money for charity. Although I did not win the scarf, education wins either way.”
Another fan, THV Hawaii, shared proof of a donation and said they planned to continue supporting the fund.
Fan account TAEHYUNG TUESDAY also participated and wrote: “When you light a lamp for someone else, it also brightens your own path.”
South American fanbase V LATAM CREW added: “Taehyung’s kindness and empathy have always been a source of inspiration. We are happy to participate in this donation.”
Global Citizen showed support for the campaign by sharing posts from V’s fans who encouraged others to donate.
The growing participation highlights how fans are using their support for the BTS member to contribute to education-focused charitable efforts around the world.
