BTS member Jungkook continues to showcase his global solo popularity after his version of NORMAL (Korean Ver.) [Instant Photo Alternate Cover Jung Kook Version] reached No. 1 on the US iTunes Top Songs chart.
The achievement adds to Jungkook's strong record on the platform. As of 2026, only seven K-pop songs have reached No. 1 on the US iTunes Top Songs chart this year, and three of those releases are Jungkook's solo versions.
They include NORMAL (Korean Ver.) [Instant Photo Alternate Cover Jung Kook Version], SWIM (Alternative Cover Jung Kook Ver.), and SWIM with Jung Kook (Acoustic Lofi Remix) Alternative Cover Ver., all connected to BTS' fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, released in March.
Beyond the United States, NORMAL (Korean Ver.) [Instant Photo Alternate Cover Jung Kook Version] also reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 24 countries and regions, highlighting its strong international performance.
Jungkook also recorded impressive physical sales with his individual album edition. According to sales data released by major US retailer Target in March, his Orchid vinyl edition for ARIRANG sold more than 37,000 copies in one month, making it the best-selling member edition. The Target-exclusive version was also reported to have sold out six times.
The latest milestone adds to Jungkook's already notable history on the platform. In 2023, he became the first K-pop solo artist to earn 10 No. 1 songs on the US iTunes chart with releases including Standing Next to You, 3D, Seven, Still With You, Dreamers, Stay Alive, Left and Right, and TOO MUCH.
Jungkook's first solo album, GOLDEN, also achieved a major milestone upon its release by reaching No. 3 on the US iTunes album chart, the highest position for a debut album by an Asian artist at the time.
