Block B member and actor P.O, whose real name is Pyo Ji Hoon, suffered minor injuries after being involved in a traffic accident during a vacation in Jeju.
His agency, Artist Company, confirmed the incident on July 22 and reassured fans that the actor was not seriously hurt.
The agency stated, “P.O recently went to Jeju Island for a vacation with friends and was involved in a traffic accident there. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured.”
It added, “His injuries are minor, so he plans to participate in the filming scheduled for next week as planned.”
According to reports, P.O was struck by a passenger vehicle while crossing a road in Jeju at approximately 9:56 PM on July 19.
Emergency responders transported him to the emergency room of a general hospital in Jeju City. He reportedly injured his arm and knee, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening or serious.
Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the accident. Preliminary findings reportedly showed no indication that the driver was under the influence of alcohol or had violated a traffic signal.
P.O recently appeared as Bong Geun Dae in the Netflix original series Teach You a Lesson.
The series has attracted strong international interest and reportedly reached No. 4 among Netflix’s most successful Korean series.
