BTS member Jungkook became emotional during the group’s final “ARIRANG” world tour concert in Paris, moving fans as he cried on stage during the encore.
The concert was held at Stade de France on July 18, local time. During the surprise performance of “We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal”, Jungkook reportedly stood quietly in front of one section of the audience for several minutes.
After seeing fans crying, he looked at them one by one before eventually becoming emotional himself.
Jungkook continued to shed tears during the following performance of “Please.” Videos shared online showed V and Jin staying near him and checking on him as he took deep breaths and tried to calm down.
The emotional moment quickly spread across social media, with fans sharing messages of support. One fan wrote, “Watching his tears made me realize how lucky we are as fans,” while another described it as one of the most powerful moments they had experienced as an ARMY.
During his closing message, Jungkook explained how difficult it felt to leave Paris after completing the European tour.
“Before going to sleep yesterday, I thought about how this was my final night in Paris, and my heart felt like it was breaking a little”, he said. “Honestly, I am not exaggerating”.
He continued, “I have been so happy from the beginning of the European tour until now that I really do not want to leave. Everything passed so quickly”.
Jungkook added, “I think I will miss all of you very much. I will return as soon as possible. I love you”.
Each Paris concert reportedly welcomed around 92,000 fans, marking BTS’s largest audience for a single concert so far.
The Paris shows also carried special meaning because BTS previously completed the European leg of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour at Stade de France in 2019.
The group’s latest European tour included 10 sold out concerts across Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich, and Paris, drawing approximately 717,000 fans.
One day after the emotional Paris finale, Jungkook joined BTS at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show in New York, where the group performed “Dynamite”.
