A recent social media post by Nayeon’s mother is gaining attention as TWICE reportedly enters discussions over the group’s second contract renewal.
After TWICE completed the encore concerts for its “THIS IS FOR” world tour, Nayeon’s mother shared an emotional message reflecting on the members’ long journey.
She wrote, “You have spent 11 years as TWICE and nearly 20 years including your trainee period. You gave your youth to achieve your dreams, so it would be strange not to cry while seeing everything you have accomplished.”
She continued, “TWICE is amazing. ONCE recognizes it, and the parents recognize it too. Now it is time for all nine members to receive the treatment they deserve. 9WICE has earned it.”
The message may simply have been intended as praise and support for the members following their successful tour.
However, some online users focused on the phrase “receive the treatment they deserve,” leading to speculation that it could be connected to the group’s future contract terms.
Interest in TWICE’s future has recently increased amid unconfirmed reports and online rumors involving the possible departure of members including Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, and Jihyo. No official decision regarding the members’ contracts has been announced.
Meanwhile, TWICE completed its sixth and largest world tour, “THIS IS FOR,” on July 12. The group performed 81 shows across 44 locations worldwide over approximately one year before ending the tour at KSPO Dome.
Fans are now waiting for an official update regarding TWICE’s contract renewal and future activities.
