Song Hye Kyo is drawing attention again after an old clip of the actress discussing childhood photos she has no plans to release resurfaced online.
The video came from her previous appearance on the YouTube channel VIVO TV, where she shared several lighthearted stories with Song Eun Yi and Kim Sook.
During the conversation, Song Hye Kyo revealed that Song Eun Yi introduced her to alcohol after she became an adult.
“Right after I graduated and turned 20, she told me, ‘Try a glass of beer,’” the actress recalled.
The conversation later turned to Song Hye Kyo’s childhood appearance. When asked whether she knew she was beautiful from a young age, she explained that she had originally been very thin.
However, while she was in the first or second grade, her mother reportedly gave her herbal medicine intended to improve her appetite.
“My mother gave me herbal medicine that made me eat very well, so I suddenly gained a lot of weight,” she said.
Song Hye Kyo then recalled a neighbor joking to her mother, “She used to be so pretty, but you completely ruined your daughter’s looks.”
The actress explained that she looked noticeably different in photos from that period.
“When I look at the pictures, I was really chubby,” she said. “You could not clearly see my facial features.”
Kim Sook then asked whether the childhood photos were available online. Song Hye Kyo firmly replied that they were not.
“The photos are at home, but I will not release them,” she said, before adding that she could show them privately.
Her response increased curiosity among viewers, with many saying they found it difficult to imagine Song Hye Kyo looking so different as a child.
Others noted that the photos were from her early childhood and praised the actress for openly sharing the humorous memory.
